I’ve been presented with a small window of opportunity to apply for a garden space at Chelsea next year. I’ve got a couple of half-cooked ideas, but can only contemplate it with sponsorship. My instinctive style is naturalistic with a contemporary feel, not edgy or uber-modernistic. It would either be a courtyard or urban garden. Preferably urban because the courtyard area gets manically busy. So if you think your company would benefit from a smudge of Chelsea’s gloss, talk to me. It won’t be pricey…
This probably won’t happen, but I said the same about GOTY and look where that got me.

You've got to go for it!
I'll help if I can.
Chelsea's much closer than Tatton.

Hi Sue,
I am a garden designer/landscaper based in 'The North' and I am very interested in getting involved in a 'Show Garden'. Please have a look at my portfolio at:

I am initially thinking I could do some design work/visuals for you.
Please contact me if there is anything I could do for you.

Hello David, Well now that's weird because my other half is David and the surname is the same, bar one letter. Thought for a minute it was a bit of a wind-up! Anyway, I have a design partner for Tatton Show, but if you're looking for a bit of show gardening exposure we might be able to involve you next year in some way. I'm not doing Chelsea – just a bit of a mad moment that soon passed….
Hi Sue,
Yes 'Beasley' is a derivative of the surname 'Beesley' (or vica-versa!). Apparently it originates fom the Lancastian town of Beesley (ever been there?, I haven't!) or we are descendants of Thomas De Besberg (dating back to 1066, I think). The scarier thing is that my partner is also called Sue (Suzanne)!!!!
Anyway, I would be delighted to collaborate with you on any 'Showgarden' in 2010, I will keep following this blog for news….
