Someone must be smiling on me. After a totally dry month we had soft rain all day on Monday, enough to slowly wet the garden through. Then, after a day of fill-in planting and weeding on Tuesday it rained all night. As if by magic, the garden has turned greener in a day. Leaves have unfurled, stems pushed up another inch or so. The the garden is really beginning to show me what it has in store. Tommorow is a final day of sweeping and tweaking and then we open the gates for the first time in 2007.
The forecast for Saturday is dry and sunny for our NGS day. I have my volunteer teams in place for the garden, tickets, teas and ice-cream and have finally got a team together to manage the traffic on the lane as well. All seems to be ready. I just need some visitors now!

Good luck Trillium for tomorrow, when you’ve recovered if you could pop down to help me for next weekend !!
Thanks Elaine,
I think we are ready – I just wish I knew how many to expect- guesses range from 100 to 600.
Best of luck for you too.
Sue
