We have a watering system – at last. The leaks are fixed, the pump is in place and we have figured out the electronic control thingy. It didn’t save us any time tonight – we spent an entertaining hour watching bits go on and off and dodging the jets while we tested the coverage. It’s like a mini water-symphony and very pretty too.

The initial drip of customers is turning into a trickle. I’ve been invited to the Cheshire Hardy Plant Society’s meeting on Monday and the Great Budworth Garden Society meeting a week later (no small beer either of them). And I have had some very positve customer comments and many promises to return as the season ripens.

The cherry in the garden is simply stunning – I promise to look up the name properly tomorrow.
