A few weeks ago I agreed to contribute to an exhibitor blog for Tatton Show. I assumed that lots of exhibitors would be participating, but it turns out there are just two of us – which is a little weird. Anyway, here’s the link.

I’ve been quite calm about Tatton until a couple of days ago, but now I get a stage-fright lurch in my stomach when I think about it. It helps to go and look at the mock-up garden which is coming together in the polytunnel, but the to-do list still seems huge – and we start building a week tomorrow.

Deb’s idea for the fig tree planter is working out beautifully. My only concern is the weight – the lead alone weighs about 13 kilos, before we add compost, plants and a person sitting on the seat. The legs on this thing are going to have to be very substantial indeed.
