I’m delivering my first evening talk tonight at Frodsham Gardening Club. The presentation is ready, with lots of pictures from GOTY, the nursery and the garden and it does look pretty good, if I say so myself.
All would be well except that I have a streaming cold, a thumping headache and no voice. First one I’ve had for about 4 years. Dave is coming along with me, ostensibly to set up the AV, but at this rate he’ll be doing the presentation for me.
Putting the presentation together was a very pleasurable experience though, reminding me just how far we’ve come in one year. I thought I’d post one of my favourite pictures from 2007 to cheer myself up.

How did it go?
Ditto and I hope you’re feeling better. I did the same a couple of weeks ago – a five hour seminar with a temperature hitting the ceiling. The next week three of my students were off with the same …whoops!
I took my other half with me – partly to set up the AV and partly as understudy – but it went fine. The audience were lovely and very appreciative. Pushing my voice out was tough though and I couldn’t speak at all for the next two days.
Back to normal now though, thanks.
Glad you got through it – I dont think I could talk to a group of people
