Shed envy is a terrible thing. I had three big ones and Dave had none and it just wasn’t right. Nowhere to put his bike, tools (to keep them out of my reach!) or fishing rod he would use if he could only find the time. So I bought him a shed for Christmas, but it lacked a home until this week. We picked the hottest week of the year so far to move about 6 tons of soil, build a retaining wall and level the ground. And tonight, with the able assistance of James from next-door-but-one, we put it together. He now has his very own man-sized shed, complete with combination lock padlock. There will of course be a log book and sign-out recording system for tools, if I’m allowed to borrow them at all. But at long last Dave has a place to call his very own. The only thing I’m not keen on is the colour, but that’s easily fixed….
