Last year Hazel, Holly and I collected seeds from the Woodland Trust meadow at the top of the lane. Dave and I sowed them in a patch of spare ground near the car park and here’s the result. Not only does it look great, but its a starter seed back for a much bigger area next year.
Even more fun, I seem to have a weekly gardening spot on Manchester’s Channel M. Claire and Matt came out today to film the first three – and all being well, they’ll go out on Channel M’s Today programme between 4 and 7pm. I’ll put links on here so we should end up with a bit of a gardening video library. It’s a far cry from the Beeb’s pre-planned, pre-scripted production methodology – I decide the topic, create the ‘set’, script it on the spot and present it. It suits me perfectly!
